Apparently, Antonio’s father was uncomfortable with his way of making a living, so the young magician left home to live with a friend who introduced him to the game of poker. His interest in the game brought him to a non-tournament poker table until he began experimenting with cash games and eventually participated in several successful poker tournaments, and today he is considered one of the most successful poker players of our time.
As one of the best poker players in the United States, Antonio has appeared on several poker television shows. He has two World Poker Tour (WPT) championships to his name and has earned three World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets during his career, including the Big One for One Drop he won in 2012. The Big One for One Drop was tied to a $1,000,000 buy-in tournament that was to benefit the One Drop Foundation, and winning that event made Antonio Esfandiari the winner of the largest single payout in tournament poker history, $18,346,673, and he reached and held the lofty number one position in all tournament poker winnings of all time.

Antonio’s father and his boys did not waste time grieving over an absent mother but set out to create a better life for themselves in their new home in California.
